“We celebrated our wedding on a beautiful day in Des Moines! Our love story began in Des Moines so it was important to us to incorporate things that were unique to the area - starting with our venue. The Tea Room….a restaurant built as part of the Younker's department store in 1925.”

“It was destroyed by a fire in 2015 and was recently renovated and reopened as an event space shortly before our wedding. The building is so iconic in Des Moines that we actually booked it before it was completed!”

“My ‘Splendor’ dress was very special to me because Roz and I met while I was working at a bridal salon and we instantly connected.... Her effervescence, energy and personality shine through her designs and she is such a delightful woman…. I am so fortunate to have worn one of her gowns for my perfect day!”

When it came to decorations, Kate and Nick’s “...vision was something very simple with some preppy touches - we had black and white striped runners with soft pink, green and ivory florals from Live. Love. Flowers, to compliment the florals in my Splendor gown and our wedding party who wore black and ivory with pink and ivory flowers.“
